Beside i create a scenario gameboard for the best boardgame system ever (Command&Colors)
Here for my Battlecry scenario "Antietam - the cornfield"
All light green hex will replaced in future also with 3D-printed hex and painted in brown-green so the complete board have a coherent style. The white board is magnetic and the single hex have a magnetiv foil underside, so they can easy fix against slipping.
Here a view from "Dunker Church"
and from other (Union) side from "Millers Farm"
and the "cornfield" a little bit closer. You can also see my final variant of "Woods". I decided for this flexible variant, painting thin plastic chips and glued on foliage/pipe cleaner trees. So i can simple move away the "wood chips" if i place units into the woods and i can also use the "wood chips" on tabletop gameboards to represent/demarcate wooden areas.

This actually made me smile, haha. This looks awesome! Great shade if green on there. How precisely did you make that board? It’s already giving me ideas for my hex bases I’ve been messing with...

You mean the base "light" green board. This is easy made in a paint program (paint.net) and then printed out from a online poster shop.
I have different sizes (all for the C&C series) ready if you need a map file.
Or you order any digital map template (from Wargameprint e.g.)
and overlay any hex template in a paint program. I did this also with different mat templates, for example this one
