Hello and good day to you all.
I have been collecting 2mm for awhile now from Irregular Miniatures. Now with these 3d print files I have been able to expand into other periods than my main focus of Ancients and Fantasy.
I use the Irregular Miniatures Ancient Rules Box for my current games. What rules do you use for your 2mm battles for black powder age and later games?

nickew my main focus is on 1600 to 1770 for 2mm so some of the Black Powder era. I also do later than this but I generally have armies in other scales for that so they are not a priority.
I am into doing large battles with large units and use the Twilight of the Sun King rules, and the soon to be released Twilight of Divine Right rules, for this.

Almost any rules can work if you go out to 1:1 figure range because the 2mm units will have frontages as big as units in other scales. A 1000 figure Austrian battalion in 2mm is almost as big as a 24 figure battalion in 28mm. Without the vertical abstraction you’ll quickly realize the weak points of many rulesets. The weaknesses are generally: too little tactical depth on the board, unrealistic weapon ranges and time/distance scales givn the true groundscale, and problems with modeling how commanders gain and react to information and orders. You realize very quickly that many modern sets of rules are deeply abstract even if they claim otherwise.
That said, there are few rules out there specifically for 2mm. There is the cult classic 2 x2 Napolenics, but that’s about it... for now.
I’m currently working on a set of super fast play army level rules that I’ll be self-publishing eventually, but probably not for a few more months. They’re designed with 2mm specifically in mind.
Suntzu has a set of 1:1 rules he’s working on, too.

This is true for many of the popular rules sets which frankly have very little historical credibility and are often aimed at what would be large skirmishes in reality. Most so called historical sets are really fantasy/imaginary sets with a veneer of history on top. There are though quite a few sets which would be fine for 1:1 games in 2mm but the main problem is often the tabletop size of 1:1 units restricts what you can do.

I am going with an amended version of Altar of Freedom for my ACW and GaPa for War of Spanish Succession. I use 1 base (40mm or 60mm frontage depending on era) per regiment and a 1" to 150yds ground scale. I am aiming at multi corps level battles.
