Rob mentioned this awhile back and I’ve been meaning to follow up. How hard is it to learn? Also, do you know who holds the rights to a map created with it? If I could use it to create s commercial product it would be of great interest.

hi Zach , anything you create from the campaign cartographer you own the rights to , you don't own the symbols used but you can sell you work as you created the picture as a whole , as to the learning curve it is quite steep and is what i use to create the maps you have seen on FB. There is also loads of addons and if you get everything they do it can be very expensive , i have everything and bought it many years ago and have continued to keep it up to date , by the way i run it on my mac using crossover but it is a native windows program by the way all my maps are now available on my patreon site www.patreon.com/HistoricalWargameMapsRob

its like all these programs it has a steep learning curve initially but there is a very informed training pdf included with the package. Any maps created by the software should be under your own rights as its just a drawing package at the end of the day. it would be like Adobe Photoshop claiming ownership of your photos because you used photoshop to edit the photographs
