Hi All,
I recently found the 2mm printable figures library whilst browsing for 2mm stuff, and this led me to this forum!
I have played various figure scales, but always seemed to gravitate towards the smaller stuff, 10, 6, and 2mm. I guess this was partly because of limited table space, and partly because my preference is for grand tactical games. I always thought there was something not right about a napoleonic game with say a dozen battalions on table and one of those battalions was a guard unit. Napoleons Guard troops just weren't distributed piecemeal into other divisions like that!
Games I have played include DBA (in 2mm and 6mm), Warmaster (I have a 2000 point Undead army), Strategos by Phil Sabin in 2mm (latest incarnation is his book Lost Battles), Corps d'Armee by Goeffrey Wooton (many years ago, I had a 6mm French army for this, great Command and control system), Future War Commander in 6mm (I have an army based on Warhammer Epic space Orcs), as well as lots of other games I have briefly played.
I seem t have amassed a lot of unfinished projects too, as well as barely started ones (ie bought the figures but didn't do anything with them!) 6mm napoleonics and ancients, 2mm WWII and moderns, Volley and Bayonet in 2mm, lots of 2mm Irregular stuff, some of which I actually used! LOL, Warhammer knights and elves, and bits and pieces of all sorts of stuff.
My latest project is to do a Wagram game, using the Polemos Marschal d'Empire rules, in 2mm, using cm for inches, so a 3" square infantry base becomes 30mm. This makes the battle of Wagram doable on a 4ft by 4ft table! My plan is to do the terrain on 4 x 2ft square boards, for ease of transport and storage. I'll probably play this as a solo game, as due to ill health I don't get out that often to meet up with other wargaming friends.
Other interests include motorbikes, model engineering, computer gaming, R/C and free flight model aircraft flying, R/C model boats, 3D printing (I now have 2 printers, a Creality CR10 Mini, and an ELEGOO MARS) and anything else I find interesting. It has been said of me that my hobby is collecting hobbies!
Cheers
