Hey everyone,
I've just updated the FMS Library with complete Universal Army Roster set of files. The system is designed so that you can create and organize giant armies at correct groundscales with hundreds of units that keep the command system in place on the table. After messing around with it a lot I think this is the easiest way of playing huge battles on a relatively small table, for a few dollars, but having all the complexity of Napoleonic warfare represented. That said, I am also working on a very simple set of huge-battle rules, and these pieces will feature in those rules.
The new model sets are:
Universal Army Roster Infantry 1 to 80
Universal Army Roster Infantry 81 to 160
Universal Army Roster Infantry 161 to 240
Universal Army Roster Bicorne Arty 1 to 120
Universal Army Roster Shako Arty 1 to 120
Universal Army Roster Infantry Hussars 1 to 20
Universal Army Roster French Ally Cavalry
Universal Army Roster Uhlans 1 to 30
Universal Army Roster Cuirassiers 1 to 30
Universal Army Roster Dragoons 1 to 30
Universal Army Roster Lancers 1 to 15 and Imperial Guard Cav
Universal Army Roster Chassuers a Cheval 1 30
Universal Army Roster Chevau Legere 1 to 30
Universal Army Roster Corps Commanders 1 to 16
Universal Army Roster Division Commanders 1 to 32
Universal Army Roster Division Brigade Commanders 1 to 48
Universal Army Roster Division Brigade Commanders 49 to 96
The models in these sets are hybrid models and game markers, and would be ideal for use on maps or on hybrid terrain boards like those at my website.
Each battalion and cavalry regiment in the above list is 12mm x 12mm, and numbered. Each battery is 12mm x 8mm.
Commanders are on circular bases. Corps commanders are 25mm wide, Division commanders are 20mm wide, and brigade commanders are 15mm wide.
Examples of this system will be at HISTORICON next week, amongst many other painted examples from the FMS Library.
