Those are great! I was recently reading Thucydides and the descriptions of the battles are incredible... and very do-able in 2mm. It would require a lot of printing though. But do-able. I think it was up to 200 ships a side or so?

Those are amazing, did you add crew to them?
I've got a bunch of 1/600 Xyston galleys but I didnt think of combining them with land forces.
BTW Lords of the Sea is a fantastic book on Greek naval battles and warfare.

I sent this as a PM, but I might as well add it here. I think you should do these in resin and start a company selling these. I'm almost certain that you would find a market. The scale is just right for making highly detailed rigging. And you could play very large naval games with these.

You could make these even better by making a two-part model. Create a second deck that you place over top of the rowers, such that you can paint the rowers first, the place the top deck over them. That would let you look inside the model at the rowers when it's done.

Zach , if you want the masts they have been left ashore , well the mast is too thin to print but if you realy want it then paper and wire is your only chance

Hi Rob, I understand - definitely too fine to print. I meant a hole in the hull, like a void-shape that you could stick a mast into. You could pick a standard size of dowel rod and place some voids into the model at the appropriate points.
Rigging up one of these would be super fun actually. The models are big enough where it could look good, but the rigging isn't so complex (as in 18th century) as to be crazy.
