Still a few test pics with ship variants (without base). I dont know, if the ships are sturdy enough, to print it without base but with thin oars. Maybe with oars the base variant is the better way.
And i tried to paitn for this test pics the little shields a little bit more detailled. I would not do it for the "mass" produktion. Always remember, you see the models only on gaming distance.

For the "Vikings" fans, which want reenact the battle on the river "Seine" at Paris (maybe with ancient galley rules) i added a simple "franks" boat.

Somebody posted these up in the FB group before I could do so and they are getting lots of love. This really is a great looking project! i love the geodesic dragon-head prows. I've had the idea of trying to do 1:1 Greek trireme fleets the way you've done these. That would really catch people's eyes at a convention.
The way you painted the masts onto the sails is very creative; I'm impressed!
I also like how you designed those bases of defenders to fit neatly into the castle walls. Great idea.
Did you make up a set of rules for these games or are you using something else? Didn't someone just come out with a new set of siege rules or something? But it's for a later period if I recall?

As a huge fan of simple and straight-line rules i would suggest for galleys battles
Poseidon“s Warriors from Osprey.
I had those rules already in my mind, because i would do 3 years ago the "Battle of Actium" scenario. I will attach my "extended" reference sheet.
And for siege the simple rules within the "Age of Hannibal" rules are also perfect. I attach also my extended reference sheet (revised to use it with in my medieval project).

I know, this one is again very abstract, but i am not an expert designer Now i do still the small siege towers/fortresses, and then anybody can do this "Vikings" battle as scenario board

Well, my theoretical "Vikings" addon for my medieval project is ready (means the STL files), if someone want to setup a gameboard/-scenario with mass of ships

Wow more amazing work. This will look great when its all done.
Another rules idea is "Galleys and Galleons" by Ganesha games and its loosely based on the Songs of Blades engine.
Zach, there is a guy selling a stls on wargamesvault of Greek Biremes, Triremes. Now you have a printer....
