I found these amazing terrain pieces by a rather famous gamer Mike Siggins (scroll down a bit). Unfortunately I couldn't find anymore on his site
I think textured ground work is fantastic and something I may switch to instead of flock, as I have not been happy with my flocking attempts so far. It looks like the ground work is partially airbrushed which creates a very nice effect.

Completely agree, any ground flock with 2mm is simple to big. I use flock only for hedges and bushes and paint the ground floor/fields in meantime only with color.

I have been using Terrain Maker for a number of years primarily for my 6mm ACW and Micro-Armour collections. Starting out can be a bit daunting but I'm at the point where I can do a pack of 24 hexes in an evening.
