Hi all I'm another new member who has been drawn into this new scale by the fantastic pictures on Forwardmarch's website. I'm a big 6mm fan (hence the name and website) but i have always secretly admired photos of the 2mm games I have seen online. Now I have a 3d printer I've taken the plunge and will start churning out models once I have finished the next round of printer upgrades. My printer was a Anet A8 but now it is a AM8 with E3DV6 hotend and BMG extruder and lots of other tweaks.
I live in NZ if anyone else is from this part of the world. Cheers Kieran

Hi Kieran! Great to have you here! Looking forward to seeing some shots of your prints. I don't own a 3D printer myself; I have too many hobbies already! But maybe one day... I think I have at least a few customers in NZ, but I'm not sure if they're on the forums. Maybe at the FB 2mm and micro-scale group?

Thanks, I'm not sure of any others in NZ and no one I know. I'll start plugging away at it in a week or so with some test prints to encourage others.

Hi there I’m logged in as a guest - staff approval pending. I’m in NZ. Very excited to start some massive wargames instead of the 28mm skirmishes I’m used to

Yeah the idea of proper large battles is very appealing. Where abouts in NZ are you? I'm in Auckland.

Im in Masterton. I havent had much luck getting a good print at the 2mm size so my friend and I have decided to upscale them to 4mm and keep the buildings at the original scale. So far the infantry is looking good but we cant get a good print on the cavalry. i.imgur.com/10U1TSf.jpg

Those are great! Do you mind if I add that picture to my online gallery, or put them on the 2mm Facebook group?

Those are great! Do you mind if I add that picture to my online gallery, or put them on the 2mm Facebook group? Yeah no problem at all. While i've got your attention may I ask if there is a la haye sainte or a Hougomont in the works?......or are they just too tiny at 2mm?

They're definitely not too small; they've been on the back burner for awhile but keep getting pushed back. Honestly there would probably be so much interest in them that it'd be worth my time to sit down and knock them out. The problem is that I'd have to get them done perfectly... and if I didn't I would hear no end of it! Until I fixed them.

Wow Harley, those are impressive. Painting the belts is pretty hardcore.

Wow Harley, those are impressive. Painting the belts is pretty hardcore. Thanks 6mmfan. I cant take the credit though, my friend Carl painted those. My own miniature painting abilities are comparable to a toddlers finger painting.
